You will take ownership of our application portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, cost efficiency, business value, and continuous improvement while acting as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions.

Your responsibilities:
- Ensure the strategic alignment of the application portfolio with business objectives, including the evaluation, evolution, and retirement of existing systems
- Establish and maintain transparency across all applications, including functions, costs, usage, risks, and business value
- Optimize the application landscape by reducing complexity, consolidating systems, and improving cost and resource efficiency
- Manage the full application lifecycle – from introduction and operation to continuous improvement and retirement
- Develop and implement application governance, standards, and processes to ensure secure, compliant, and consistent application management
- Lead and coordinate Application Owners as well as the Application Change Advisory Board (CAB) to ensure structured application governance
- Act as a bridge between business and IT by translating business requirements into IT solutions, prioritizing initiatives, and managing application roadmaps and change requests
- Collaborate with business units, IT teams, project managers, and external software vendors to enhance solutions and ensure security, data protection, and regulatory compliance
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration or equivalent
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and IT service management (ITSM)
- Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications
- Experience with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HR systems, or industry specific platforms)
- Familiarity with ITIL, integration concepts, APIs, and data flows
- Excellent communication skills, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to assert yourself, prepare decisions promptly, and obtain approval
- Business-fluent communication skills in English and German
- Experience in analytical and system development
- Proven analytical skills and understanding of organizational structure
- Experience in generation process documentation and reports
- Ability to think and act in a networked manner
- Very structured, reliable, and documented way of working
- Quick comprehension and affinity for identifying problem
