We would like to meet an AI Privacy Engineer / Data Protection Coordinator for a hybrid working model.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the data protection lead for AI use cases, ensuring privacy requirements are addressed throughout the AI lifecycle.
- Translate GDPR, EU AI Act, internal data protection policies, and privacy requirements into practical technical guidance for AI engineering and platform teams.
- Ensure data protection requirements are embedded into the design and implementation of AI systems.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data flows, Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), design decisions, controls, and safeguards.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for AI use cases.
- Identify privacy risks related to personal data processing, model behaviour, data flows, and system architecture.
- Define pragmatic privacy controls and mitigation measures and work with engineering teams to ensure their effective implementation.
- Act as a bridge between engineering teams and data protection functions, ensuring technical implementations meet privacy and compliance expectations.
- Provide clear recommendations and evidence to support privacy reviews and go/no-go decisions.
- Enable scalable privacy governance by ensuring technical implementations and documentation provide evidence of compliance and accountability.
- Embed Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default into AI use cases, agents, tools, and supporting platform components.
- Work closely with AI Engineering, AI Platform, Security, Corporate Data Protection, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Support the development of reusable privacy patterns, controls, and implementation standards for AI solutions.
- Stay up to date with evolving AI privacy regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Protection, Privacy, Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional experience in Data Protection, Privacy, Privacy Engineering, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and European data protection principles.
- Experience translating privacy requirements into practical technical controls.
- Experience conducting DPIAs / Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Experience working with data flows, RoPAs, privacy documentation, and compliance evidence.
- Understanding of Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles.
- Good understanding of AI/ML systems and AI-specific privacy risks.
- Experience working closely with engineering and technology teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex privacy requirements clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI Privacy or Privacy Engineering.
- Knowledge of the EU AI Act.
- Experience assessing privacy risks in LLM applications or AI Agents.
- Understanding of AI model training, inference, RAG, and data processing architectures.
- Knowledge of data minimisation, anonymisation, pseudonymisation, retention, and deletion controls.
- Experience implementing technical privacy controls such as data masking, access controls, encryption, and data segregation.
- Familiarity with AI governance and AI risk management frameworks.
- Experience working with Data Protection Officers (DPOs) or Corporate Data Protection teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent.
- Experience working in Agile environments and international teams.
- Strong curiosity and motivation to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving AI and privacy landscape.
