Ultracon Consultoria is seeking an AI Privacy Engineer to join an international project focused on data protection and regulatory compliance across AI solutions. You will work with AI Engineering and Data Protection teams to translate privacy requirements into actionable guidance and ensure Privacy by Design throughout the AI lifecycle.

• Strong knowledge of GDPR and international data protection rules.
• Hands-on DPIAs/PIAs and risk assessments.
• Experience translating privacy requirements into engineering guidance.
• Familiarity with EU AI Act and AI governance concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Act as AI data protection gate for use cases, delivering risk assessments and go/no-go recommendations.
• Translate GDPR, EU AI Act and internal requirements into actionable guidance for AI teams.
• Embed Privacy by Design & Default into AI solutions across the lifecycle.
• Conduct DPIAs and AI privacy risk assessments.
• Identify risks in data processing, models and architecture; drive mitigations with engineering teams.
• Maintain data flows, RoPA, design decisions, controls and safeguards documentation.
• Ensure AI solutions provide auditable evidence of compliance.
• Support Data Subject Rights requests involving AI systems.
• Contribute to incident readiness and response for AI privacy risks.
• Bridge between AI Engineering and Data Protection functions.

About the opportunity

We are looking for an AI Privacy Engineer to join an international project focused on ensuring data protection, privacy and regulatory compliance across AI solutions.

You will work closely with AI Engineering and Data Protection teams, translating privacy and regulatory requirements into practical guidance and ensuring Privacy by Design throughout the AI lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Act as the AI data protection gate for AI use cases, providing clear risk assessments and go/no-go recommendations;


• Translate GDPR, EU AI Act and internal data protection requirements into actionable guidance for AI Engineering teams;


• Embed Privacy by Design & by Default into AI solutions;


• Conduct DPIAs and AI privacy risk assessments;


• Identify risks related to personal data processing, AI models and system architecture;


• Define and drive practical risk mitigation measures together with Engineering teams;


• Maintain documentation such as data flows, RoPAs, design decisions, controls and safeguards;


• Ensure AI solutions provide clear and auditable evidence of compliance;


• Support Data Subject Rights requests involving AI systems;


• Contribute to AI-related personal data incident readiness and response;


• Act as a bridge between AI Engineering and Data Protection functions.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international environment;


• Strong working knowledge of GDPR;


• Hands-on experience with DPIAs / Privacy Impact Assessments;


• Experience with AI Risk Assessments and/or AI Governance;


• Practical knowledge or experience with the EU AI Act;


• Good technical understanding of modern AI systems, including: LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Tool Use


• Experience with Privacy by Design / Data Protection by Design;


• Experience with International Data Transfers and/or Data Subject Rights is a plus;


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills;


• Comfortable working closely with technical teams and challenging solution design when necessary;


• Pragmatic, outcome-driven and comfortable operating in ambiguous environments;

Education

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, combined with an additional legal/privacy qualification (e.G. LL.B., LL.M., CIP/E), or a qualified lawyer with additional technology experience.
