Job summary

Siemens Energy in Portugal is seeking an AI Engineer to shape and deliver the programmable platform that underpins the agentic software development lifecycle. You will work hands-on in platform engineering, embedding with software teams to translate their needs into reusable services, APIs, and automation.

You will implement core capabilities such as token budgets, onboarding automation, LLM routing, and guardrails for trusted agent workflows.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering.
• 2+ years in AI-assisted/agentic software engineering.
• Fluent English; based in Portugal or Spain.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver platform capabilities translating teams' needs into reusable services and APIs.
• Embed with software teams, configure tooling, and develop agents and guardrails.
• Write, review and ship production code using AI coding tools; build proofs of concept.
• Contribute to platform blueprint, context, and developer experience.
