Job summary

Netze BW in Lisboa invites an AI Engineer (f/m/d) to join the Agentic Factory team. You will shape high-value GenAI use cases, prototype quickly with platform building blocks, and deliver end-to-end solutions that blend technology and business needs.

You will work in a cross-border, agile environment with colleagues in Germany, contributing to production-grade AI platforms and staying at the forefront of agentic tooling and LLM-based delivery workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience at the intersection of technology and business—forward deployment, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or applied AI.
• Proven track record of shipping GenAI or agentic solutions into production and supporting them through their lifecycle.
• Strong developer, comfortable working across the stack when needed.
• Hands-on experience with LLM application patterns — RAG, agents, tool use, multi-step reasoning.
• Extensive practice using agentic tooling (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in real delivery work with repeatable workflows.
• Excellent communicator who translates between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with business units to identify automation opportunities and shape high-value agentic and GenAI use cases.
• Rapidly prototype solutions using platform building blocks and agentic coding tools, then productionize them.
• Deliver use cases end-to-end — from discovery and scoping through development and deployment.
• Feed insights from use case delivery back into the platform team, driving reusable components.
• Present progress, results, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional groups.

A wide range of tasks

• Engage directly with business units to identify automation opportunities and shape high-value agentic and GenAI use cases
• Rapidly prototype solutions using platform building blocks and agentic coding tools, then harden them into production-grade applications
• Deliver use cases end-to-end — from discovery and scoping through development, deployment, and ongoing further devops
• Feed insights from use case delivery back into the platform team, driving development of reusable components
• Present progress, results, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional steering groups

Convincing profile

• Experience at the intersection of technology and business — forward deployment, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or applied AI
• Proven track record of shipping GenAI or agentic solutions into production and supporting them through their lifecycle
• Strong developer, comfortable working across the stack when needed
• Hands-on experience with LLM application patterns — RAG, agents, tool use, multi-step reasoning — with judgment to select the right approach
• Extensive personal practice of using agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in real delivery work — with established workflows you can articulate and teach to others
• Excellent communicator who translates between technical teams and business stakeholders, and presents confidently to senior leadership
• Brings structure to ambiguous situations — scopes, prioritizes, and delivers without waiting for perfect requirements

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and infrastructure pipelines for self-sufficient deployment
• Experience running workshops, design sprints, or hackathons for use case discovery
• Track record of establishing agentic tooling practices or AI-augmented delivery workflows within a team
• Background in the energy sector, utilities, or other regulated industries
• Experience with change management or technology adoption in enterprise settings
• Language skills: English: Fluent (required — daily working language); German: Nice-to-have (not required)
