Vestas is seeking a Backend Engineer in Porto to join the Backend Engineering Chapter within Digital Customer Channels & Experience. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for customer-facing digital solutions, leveraging AI-assisted development to boost quality and productivity.

You will work in product-led teams using Java, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure) with containers and databases to support rapid innovation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java.
• Experience building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
• Interest in or experience using AI tools in software development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure), containers, and databases.
• Curiosity & Learning Mindset: Enjoy staying up to date with new technologies and AI tools.
• Problem-Solving: Solid analytical skills and ability to solve complex backend challenges.
• AI‑Driven Development: Comfortable using AI to support coding, testing, and design.
