Randstad Portugal is seeking an AI Backend Engineer to join one of our technology teams for a key client and internal platforms. The role focuses on building scalable Java microservices and robust APIs using Quarkus, while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to speed development.

You will collaborate with backend, QA and product teams in a fast-moving environment, write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to reliable CI/CD pipelines.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java; Quarkus a plus.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools daily.
• Designing APIs and Java microservices at scale.
• Writing automated unit and integration tests.
• Ability to understand business context before solving.
• Willingness to experiment with AI tools.
• Strong communication in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Use AI tools as part of daily workflow to accelerate coding.
• Solve day-to-day backend tasks with AI guidance.
• Write automated tests for backend services.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with AI support.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA and product.
