valantic GmbH is seeking a Software Engineer - Backend and Data & AI in Porto to join a hybrid, international expert team. You will build scalable Data & AI solutions across industries, from architecture to production, and collaborate closely with cloud, data, and AI engineering and consulting colleagues.

Expect modern technologies: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Qualificações

• Degree required in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, or related field.
• 3-6 years for mid-level; 6+ years for senior with backend scale and security focus.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, REST API design, Kafka, Maven, and microservice design; Python or other modern languages a plus.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS); containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); monitoring tools; CI/CD; automated testing; Agile methodologies.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases, data modeling, ML integration, and exposure to LLM frameworks (Spring AI, LangChain).
• Strong intercultural collaboration, independent, analytical, and proactive.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop scalable Data & AI backend solutions from architecture to production.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Data, and AI Engineering or Consulting teams in agile projects.
• Own subprojects and contribute to end-to-end deployment and operation of backend services.
