Vodafone Group Plc in Portugal is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join the Digital Experience Layer (DxL) team. You will design, develop and maintain backend services powering customer-facing channels, with Java and Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.

You will collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, and product teams, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud platforms.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture principles.
• Experience with Git and Maven.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Exposure to Docker and containerized applications is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices is desirable.

• Work in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software.
