KWAN in Lisbon is seeking an AI Architect eager to drive ambitious AI initiatives. You will design scalable ML systems and collaborate across teams with engineers, data experts, and product leaders.

You bring 5+ years in software and AI, hands-on experience with LLMs, MLOps, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and fluent English. KWAN offers relocation, visa sponsorship, strong career growth and a culture that blends learning with impactful projects.

We are looking for a AI Architect in Lisbon who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

What is this challenge about

• Develop machine learning and deep learning models, ensuring high performance and seamless integration into BMW's platforms.
• Implement robust CI/CD workflows for automate training pipelines, and ensure reliable monitoring, reporting, governance, and lifecycle management of AI systems.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize AI models and services for efficiency, accuracy, and real-time performance in large-scale environments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, data experts, and product visionaries—to engineer AI-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years with a strong background in software engineering, digital platforms, and large-scale technology delivery.
• Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with a practical mindset.
• Experience with Large Language Models, Agentic AI and the applied usage patterns.
• Experience with model monitoring, observability, MLOps tooling, and Agile.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms is a plus, especially AWS.
• Experience with model comparison, security, privacy and FinOps in the context of AI is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
