We are looking for an Accounting Control Investigations Officer
Main Tasks
- Perform accounting reconciliations between transaction processing systems and accounting systems.
- Investigate and justify discrepancies between System Operations (SO) data and accounting records.
- Identify, analyze and resolve accounting and operational anomalies.
- Perform investigations and reporting based on ITO and business requests.
- Analyze current (“As-Is”) processes and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Support the implementation and improvement of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to improve the efficiency, quality and security of daily processes.
- Improve reconciliation processes using advanced Excel and Macros.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain information and resolve unidentified/open items.
- Maintain effective communication with internal business and operational teams.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Team Leader and support corrective actions within the existing control framework.
- Support management and operational teams in continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Skills & Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within Financial Markets, Financial Operations, Accounting or Reconciliations.
- Financial Markets: Good knowledge of financial markets and preferably experience with Listed Derivatives / Transaction Processing.
- Accounting: Solid understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.
- Excel: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Macros and reconciliation/automation capabilities.
- Power BI: Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports and data visualizations.
- AI & Automation: Practical experience using AI tools and automation solutions to improve business processes.
- Process Improvement: Ability to analyze “As-Is” processes and identify efficiency, control and automation opportunities.
- Microsoft Office: Strong overall knowledge, particularly Excel.
- Analytical skills: Strong investigation, problem-solving and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk & Controls: Understanding of operational risks and control frameworks.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field.
- Languages: English – Expert level (C1/C2).
- Soft Skills: Teamwork, rigor, attention to detail, proactivity, organization and communication skills.
- This role offers a gross annual salary between 24.500€ to 60.500€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
