Job summary

MG Motor Portugal seeks an Accountant to provide accounting support to the Finance Manager in Lisbon. You will learn Portuguese accounting practices, including invoicing, AP/AR, and reconciliations, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have Portuguese work experience in a similar role, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, and strong MS Office skills. Fluency in English is required; Primavera experience is a plus.

Purpose of role: providing the accounting support to the Finance Manager for MG Portugal

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be involved in providing the accounting support to the Finance Manager in the country, and learn about the Portuguese accounting system, including:

• Provide support in preparing and processing invoices
• AP and AR Accounting
• Account Reconciliations
• Customer AR Follow up
• Customer & Vendor Master Data Maintenance
• Bank reconciliations
• Internal and External Audit Support
• Coordinate internal and external communications.
• Other related accounting tasks

Qualifications

• Full time Portuguese work experience in the similar positions at least 2 years.
• Primavera user level is preferred.
• Familiar with the Portuguese accounting and taxation system.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Fluent in English skills (oral and written).
• Able to work under pressure and on different tasks in parallel.
