Part-time Junior Accountant

We are hiring a Part-time Junior Accountant to join our team in Funchal Portugal As a successful candidate you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the accounting field while working flexible hours that accommodate your schedule This position is ideal for individuals without prior accounting experience who are looking to start their career in the field

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic accounting tasks such as data entry reconciliations and invoicing
• Support senior accountants with month-end and year-end close processes
• Verify and process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office applications particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Fluent in English Portuguese language skills are a plus
• Must be eligible to work in Portugal without visa sponsorship
