• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
• Experience with foreign clients establishing in Portugal.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create the relevant paperwork, reports, payments, and tax returns.
• Analyse and research complex tax problems to find answers.
• Maintain the tax database for the business.
• Identify tax savings and suggest methods to increase profitability.
• Provide information to federal, state, and local authorities as required.
• Assist and direct during audits.

About the job Portuguese Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is currently looking for a qualified senior tax accountant who is detail-oriented to liaise with their portfolio of clients. Your main responsibility as the tax accountant will be to suggest legal and law-compliant tax plans that will benefit clients financial health. You'll be in charge of filing tax forms, deciphering tax laws, keeping an eye on market developments, and producing tax reports.

You must have a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and strong time management abilities to succeed in this position, as you will be responsible for making sure our companys clients fulfils deadlines.
