Job summary

UPM - The Biofore Company in Poland is seeking a Supplier Management Specialist to join UPM Business Hub in Wrocław. The role focuses on supplier lifecycle and risk management, onboarding to SAP Ariba, and supporting issue resolution while ensuring compliance and data quality.

You will work with international stakeholders, monitor KPIs, and contribute to process improvements. A background in supplier management and strong English communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in supplier lifecycle management or related operations.
• Clear, professional communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ability to follow structured work instructions and ensure accuracy.
• Strong focus on due diligence, compliance and supplier data quality.
• Ability to prepare clear instructions and provide basic process training.
• English language proficiency; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to process supplier lifecycle and risk-management tasks in SAP Ariba.
• Onboard suppliers to register and use SAP Ariba, including qualification and risk‑screening.
• Support resolution of technical issues with suppliers and users.
• Respond to supplier queries via phone, email or chat and manage SAP Business Network profiles.
• Provide progress updates and report status to the Manager, Sourcing Operations.
• Ensure due diligence and compliance with UPM policies.
• Analyze reports and KPIs to identify improvements and support data‑driven decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and training materials.

What you will do

• Engage directly with UPM suppliers and internal stakeholders to process assigned supplier‑lifecycle and risk‑management tasks in SAP Ariba
• Onboard suppliers to register and use SAP Ariba, including supplier qualification, enablement and risk‑screening or risk‑management activities in line with applicable work instructions
• Follow up with suppliers and users to support the resolution of technical issues
• Respond to supplier queries in a timely and accurate manner through phone, email or chat, manage supplier contacts and SAP Business Network profiles
• Provide regular progress updates to UPM stakeholders and report performance status to the Manager, Sourcing Operations
• Ensure due diligence and compliance with UPM policies across assigned activities
• Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset by working with reports, KPIs and operational data, identifying patterns, highlighting improvement opportunities and supporting fact‑based decision‑making
• Contribute proactively to continuous improvement of processes, technical setup and ways of working
• Participate in creating communication materials, instructions and guidelines, provide basic training to users and suppliers, explaining relevant process steps and requirements

Who you are

• You have at least 2 years of practical experience in supplier lifecycle management, supplier risk management or a related operational area
• You are comfortable working with SAP Ariba or comparable supplier‑management platforms and can follow structured work instructions accurately
• You communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders through phone, email and chat
• You are service‑oriented, organized and attentive to quality, deadlines and detail
• You understand the importance of due diligence, compliance and accurate supplier information
• You take initiative in resolving operational issues and improving processes and ways of working
• You can prepare clear instructions and communication materials and provide basic process training
• You communicate effectively in English and work confidently in an international, cross‑functional environment; knowledge of other languages will be considered an asset

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on‑site collaboration in Wrocław.
