Job summary

UPM-Kymmene Sp.z o.o. seeks a Specialist, Sourcing Operations in Wrocław to lead end-to-end sourcing of direct materials, negotiate contracts, and drive digital procurement improvements.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, apply RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and ensure value, compliance, and risk mitigation across the sourcing lifecycle. You will join a global, sustainability-driven team, operating in a hybrid model with on-site collaboration in Wrocław, reporting to the Senior Manager, Sourcing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in procurement, business, or related field.
• Fluent English and German language skills required.
• Experience with SAP Ariba and digital sourcing tools is a strong asset.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to collaborate across multicultural, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing projects with direct materials (chemicals) focus.
• Use RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and e-auctions to deliver value.
• Negotiate contracts and manage lifecycle with risk mitigation.
• Advise stakeholders and support strategic procurement decisions.
• Drive digital procurement adoption and process improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance and foster strong relationships.
• Ensure compliance and champion sourcing best practices.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing projects with a strong focus on direct materials (chemicals), utilizing sourcing tools such as RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and e-auctions
• Follow sourcing strategies that deliver business value, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support organizational objectives
• Negotiate and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring value creation, compliance, and effective risk mitigation
• Act as a trusted sourcing advisor, influencing stakeholders and supporting strategic decision-making in complex procurement initiatives
• Drive change and innovation by implementing new ways of working, leveraging digital procurement tools, and enhancing sourcing processes
• Monitor supplier performance, build strong supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base
• Champion procurement best practices, compliance, and risk management across sourcing and contracting activities
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring an efficient, effective, and streamlined Source-to-Contract process

Who you are

• You hold a master’s degree or another relevant professional qualification in procurement (direct materials), business, or a related field
• You have a strong interest in technology, AI, digitalization, and innovation
• You communicate fluently in English. German is required
• Experience with SAP Ariba and other digital sourcing and procurement tools is considered a strong asset
• You are a customer-focused and service-oriented professional with excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills
• You build strong relationships, embrace diverse perspectives, and thrive in multicultural and cross-functional environments
• You are a collaborative team player who adapts quickly to change and brings an innovative mindset to solving challenges
• You demonstrate strong self-leadership, proactively take initiative, and continuously seek new opportunities to improve, learn, and create value

Additional information

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Wrocław. The position holder will report to Senior Manager, Sourcing and Procurement Operations.
