TransPerfect is seeking a Subtitling Specialist to prepare materials for translators, perform non-linguistic checks, and ensure delivery per client specifications.

You will handle time-stamping, apply timing to transcripts, and conduct quality checks, meeting daily deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires strong English and meticulous attention to detail, with independent work within established procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in subtitle production.
• Experience with subtitle creation software.
• Strong Windows skills and file management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work materials for translators and run checks on subtitle files.
• Time-stamping and spotting, apply timing to transcripts.
• Perform non-linguistic quality checks and fix issues like positioning and reading speed.
• Transcode mastered subtitles to delivery specifications.
• Track production tasks in systems and report issues to improve workflow.
• Collaborate with Project Management to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Meet daily delivery deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Suggest improvements to workflow and testing new solutions.
