Job summary

Pixelogic Media is seeking experienced English into Polish SDH and subtitling translators and QCers to join its language services team. The role focuses on creating, translating, adapting, and proofreading subtitle and SDH files with a professional, high-performing collaboration to service end-to-end projects.

The ideal candidate works well in a team, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and maintains timely delivery under demanding schedules while handling sensitive content.

Qualifications

• Native Polish and excellent English language skills
• Knowledge of other languages is an asset
• Minimum of 2 years of subtitle and/or SDH translation, adaptation, and/or proofreading/QC experience
• Demonstrated understanding of SDH conventions, including speaker IDs, sound effect descriptions, and accessibility-focused subtitle practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet rigorous schedules and flexible working hours

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of subtitle file creation, including Conforming, Translating, Adaptation, or Proofreading/QC of subtitle and SDH files using Pixelogic's cloud-based subtitling software
• Translate and adapt SDH cues, including speaker identification, sound effects, music cues, and other accessibility elements
• Leverage in-house glossary tools for consistency and follow client style guides and SDH requirements
• Handle rejections and implement corrections in files
• Remain current with industry trends and adapt to evolving client requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive content
