Job summary

TransPerfect in Poland is seeking a Subtitle Production Specialist to prepare work materials for translators, perform technical checks on timed text files, and ensure delivery according to specs. The role requires proficiency with subtitle software, strong Windows skills, and careful time-stamping, spotting, and QA.

You will work closely with Project Management, manage deadlines, propose process improvements, and adapt to fast-paced daily delivery targets.

Qualifications

Experience in subtitle production.
Proficient with subtitle creation software.
Strong Windows skills and asset management understanding.
Knowledge of frame rates, time-code, and aspect ratios.
Understanding of timed text formats and variables.
Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Proactive with process improvements.

Responsibilities

Prepare work materials for translators.
Run technical checks on translated subtitle files.
Export and deliver files per customer specifications.
Time-stamp and apply timing information to transcripts.
Perform non-linguistic quality checks (positioning, synchronization, reading speed).
Transcode master files to delivery specs.
Track and update production tasks in systems.
Report issues to improve production workflow.
Collaborate with Project Management to meet deadlines.
