Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Engineer, AI Object Storage to design and implement distributed storage for scaling AI workloads. You will contribute to exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate dedicated storage clusters into diverse environments.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, optimize throughput and latency, and mentor engineers while advancing reliability, durability, and telemetry through modern storage technologies.

Qualifications

8–10+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure platforms.
Hands-on with object storage or distributed filesystems in large-scale production.
Deep experience with S3, NFS and distributed file systems (Ceph/DAOS or similar).
Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust and cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design and implement distributed storage to support AI workloads.
Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate storage clusters.
Collaborate across teams to improve reliability, durability, security, and telemetry.
Mentor engineers and establish operational best practices for high-performance systems.
