Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own and evolve systems that automate the network for a fast-growing GPU cloud platform. You will design and write production software, set technical direction, and raise the quality bar for the team.

Expect to work across platforms, coordinate with multiple engineering groups, and contribute to a culture of blameless incident response and continuous improvement. Strong networking basics and Linux/Kubernetes experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Go.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD (testing, code review, deployments).
• Strong understanding of managing runtime health for services at an enterprise level.
• Love of automation and toil elimination; experience with workflow automation/orchestration.
• Strong planning skills for multi-month projects with parallel tasks.
• Strong, well-reasoned technical opinions and openness to others' ideas.
• Solid networking fundamentals: IP addressing, routing, DNS, NTP.
• Comfort with Linux, Kubernetes, and tooling: Ansible, Jinja, NetBox, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Excellent written communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and long-term health of platforms that automate the network.
• Plan complex projects months in advance and manage multiple efforts in parallel.
• Lead technical direction through RFCs, design reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Write production software in Python and Go with strong tests and docs.
• Improve reliability by defining SLI/SLOs and reducing manual toil via automation.
• Collaborate with Network Eng, Observability, Fleet Eng, and HPC teams.
• Join on-call rotations after ramp-up and respond with blameless postmortems.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and grow team skills.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture.
