Job summary

CoreWeave in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Engineer for AI Object Storage to design, scale, and operate a high‑performance storage platform built for hyperscale AI workloads.

You will collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and data teams to deliver reliable storage systems, implement efficient protocols (S3, NFS), and advance observability, performance, and multi‑tenant reliability in a fast‑growing cloud environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
6–10 years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed file systems in production.
Proficiency with storage protocols (e.g., S3, NFS) and distributed architectures like Ceph/DAOS.
Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust and in Kubernetes.

What You'll Do

The Storage Engineering team builds, scales, and operates CoreWeave's high-performance AI storage platform. We design reliable, high-throughput storage systems engineered natively for hyperscale cloud environments, providing the storage backbone that powers some of the largest and most innovative AI workloads in the world.

About The Role

Who You Are

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
6–10 years of experience working in storage systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
Strong hands‑on experience with object storage or distributed file systems in production environments.
Deep experience with one or more storage protocols (e.g., S3, NFS) and distributed architectures such as Ceph, DAOS, or similar.
Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go, C, or Rust.
Solid understanding of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable system architecture.
Familiarity with storage observability tools, telemetry pipelines, and open-source data stacks (e.g., ClickHouse, Prometheus, Grafana).
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and cross‑functional communication skills in complex, high-performance distributed environments.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is 262,000 PLN to 350,000 PLN gross annually. The starting salary will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits programme (subject to eligibility).
