Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in Krakow is seeking an SRE Engineer to ensure the reliability of the growing ecommerce platform across the full stack—security, CDN, DNS, servers, databases, caching, and monitoring.

You will own observability from the ground up: instrumentation, dashboards, alerts, and SLIs/SLOs, with OpenTelemetry, New Relic or Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, and ELK. Collaboration with dev teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SRE/Observability engineering building monitoring from scratch.
• Deep logs, metrics, and traces knowledge with good judgment on what to collect.
• Experience with modern observability platforms: New Relic, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, ELK.
• OpenTelemetry instrumentation across services.
• Design alerts that are actionable and reduce noise.
• Define and drive SLIs/SLOs and dashboards where none exist.
• Observability-as-code using Terraform or similar tooling.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; Docker; Azure knowledge for instrumentation.
• Python and/or Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of the ecommerce platform across its full stack.
• Build monitoring from scratch: instrumentation, dashboards, alerts, SLIs/SLOs.
• Instrument services end-to-end to enable tracing across boundaries.
• Develop effective, low-noise alerting tied to user impact.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve instrumented services.
• Maintain and enhance observability pipelines and workflows.
