Job summary

UPM is seeking a Specialist in Stock Management/Dispatch Planning for a fixed-term role at the Wroclaw Business Hub, Poland. You will initially oversee stock management at the Kotka Mussalo pulp terminal in Finland and coordinate loading with multiple internal teams, with potential to broaden to transport planning from Finnish mills.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, 3+ years of stock management experience, and proficiency in Excel; SAP TM and Power BI are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or International Business.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in stock management and transport in an international environment.
• Proficient in MS Excel and SAP or other Transport Management systems; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Customer-oriented mindset, proactive, independent and structured, able to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and team-working skills; fluent in English; Finnish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock, track inbound/outbound flows, and coordinate loading instructions with partners.
• Plan transports and shipments in Finland, collaborating with Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, and warehouse teams.
• Ensure high service level and customer satisfaction.
• Process transport and stock transfer orders in SAP and verify invoices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of warehousing processes.

We are now looking for Specialist, Stock Management/Dispatch Planning to a fixed-term position in our Wroclaw Business Hub in Wroclaw, Poland.

What you will do

Initially take overall responsibility for stock management of the Kotka Mussalo pulp terminal in Finland. This will include keeping track of the incoming and outgoing pulp flows on product and quality level as well as availability checks and communicating loading instructions to the port operator in cooperation with Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, Dispatch Planning and the warehouse operator

At a later stage tasks could also include to plan and execute transports from our Finnish Pulp mills to customers mostly in Finland as well as to ports and other warehouses in Finland in cooperation with Supply Chain Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, Pulp mill warehouse teams and service providers

Guarantee high service level and customer satisfaction

Ensure seamless transportation flows with our contract carriers

Process and execute transport and stock transfer orders in UPM Pulp ERP system (SAP)

Verify transport and warehousing invoices

Contribute to continuous improvement of warehousing processes

Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree or other comparable education preferably in the fields of Logistics, Supply Chain Management or International Business

You have more than three years of relevant professional experience working especially with stock management but also on road and/or rail transport in a fast-paced international environment

You are a proficient user of MS Excel.

Experience in SAP Transport Management or some other Transport Management System and Power BI reporting tool is a benefit

You have a customer-oriented mindset and flexibility

You have an independent and structured way of working, a high level of proactivity, and personal initiative and can work well under pressure

You have excellent problem-solving skills and strong determination

You have very good team-working ability

You have effective communication skills (spoken and written), and you are fluent in English, Finnish language skills are considered an asset

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Wroclaw.

Please note that this is a fixed term position with an end day on 31.10.2028. The position holder will report to Manager, Finland Logistics.
