Job summary

All European Careers in Warsaw, Poland is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, configure and administer the ServiceNow platform, aligning functionality with business needs.

You will build and maintain code, manage integrations, upgrades and security, and work across ITSM modules in a hybrid contractor role requiring 20% onsite and 80% remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, incident resolution and bug fixes to ensure platform stability.
• Administer the ServiceNow environment, including security, backups and performance.
• Manage upgrades, patches and compatibility; ensure availability.
• Manage MariaDB databases and other components used by ServiceNow.
• Design and support ServiceNow integrations with other enterprise systems.
• Maintain SOPs, documentation and knowledge bases.

Job description

For an international institution in Warsaw, Poland, we are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong hands‑on expertise in ServiceNow development, configuration and platform administration.

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the ServiceNow platform, implementing new functionality, supporting integrations and ensuring the stability, security and performance of the ServiceNow environment.

This is a hybrid contractor position with 20% onsite and 80% remote work.

Candidates must already be based in the Warsaw region or within approximately two hours of Warsaw and must be available to work onsite when required.

Candidates must be fluent in English.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, implementing new functionality in line with business and technical requirements;
• Analyse business requirements and provide recommendations on ServiceNow solutions, configurations and technical designs;
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow code, workflows and platform components, including testing and validation of changes;
• Perform application and code reviews, troubleshooting, incident resolution and bug fixing to ensure platform stability and integrity;
• Administer and maintain the ServiceNow environment, including configuration, services, security, backups and performance optimization;
• Manage ServiceNow upgrades, updates and application patches, ensuring platform security, compatibility and availability;
• Manage and maintain supporting MariaDB database services and other technical components used by the ServiceNow environment;
• Design and support ServiceNow integrations with other enterprise systems using technologies such as REST, Web Services, SSO and LDAP;
• Maintain technical and operational documentation, including SOPs, technical documentation, user manuals and knowledge base articles.

ServiceNow Developer Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field;
• 5+ years of relevant professional IT experience;
• 2+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience;
• Strong practical experience with ServiceNow development, configuration and platform administration;
• Hands‑on experience configuring ServiceNow ITSM and other ServiceNow modules;
• Experience designing and implementing ServiceNow platform solutions;
• Experience with requirements gathering, analysis and technical solution design;
• Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow product portfolio and IT Service Management (ITSM);
• Experience administering and maintaining ServiceNow environments; on‑premise ServiceNow experience is an advantage;
• Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies, including REST APIs, Web Services, SSO and LDAP;
• Good understanding of complex enterprise information systems and system interoperability;
• Knowledge of IT security standards and security best practices;
• Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation and knowledge base articles;
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with on‑premise ServiceNow environments;
• Experience with MariaDB administration and maintenance;
• Broader experience across additional ServiceNow modules and products;
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certificate and ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certificate is an advantage;
• Experience supporting ServiceNow in complex enterprise or international environments.
