Job summary

Cast AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the API Platform Team. You will own the inference API end-to-end, scaling it for solo developers to large enterprises, and collaborate with product and other engineering teams across the stack.

You'll tackle performance, observability, and data-store design, delivering features in 1–4 week cycles while keeping security and reliability at the forefront. Remote-first, global team environment.

Qualifications

• Production experience with Go or TypeScript.
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance‑tuning skills.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), CI/CD and DevOps practices experience.
• Startup mindset with adaptability and ambiguity tolerance.
• Strong English skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop with observability in mind and optimize for performance.
• Design datastores and distributed systems behind the inference API.
• Build billing, usage metering, and role-based controls.
