Job summary

Cast AI, the AI platform on Kubernetes, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Harness team. You will own features end-to-end from design to production rollout, shipping in 1–4 weeks, and collaborating with product and other engineering teams to tackle problems that don\'t have textbook solutions.

The role emphasizes Go/TypeScript, cloud and Kubernetes expertise, strong debugging and performance tuning, and a remote-first global environment with equity options and a learning budget.

Qualifications

• Production experience with Go or TypeScript.
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), CI/CD and DevOps practices experience.
• Startup mindset: adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong English skills, both verbal and written.
• You've personally driven a complex project end-to-end.
• Harness experience or creating AI workflows is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect planner/executor/evaluator pipelines – planning with a reasoning model, execution with a fast one, evaluation with a third.
• Manage agent memory and context – state persistence across sessions, context compaction, tool-call offloading.
• Own the harness surface - TUI, MCP integrations, telemetry.
• Work directly with users – including our own colleagues – to identify, understand and fix pain points
