Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience and a track record of shipping production software.
• End-to-end ownership of a product, feature, or subsystem from design to iteration.
• Ability to balance delivery speed, quality, and maintainability with customer/business needs.
• Experience collaborating with product/design partners and mentoring teammates.
• Extensive practical use of AI across investigation, design, implementation, testing, and review.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational capabilities for Samsara’s agentic experiences, enabling AI agents to securely discover data, use tools, integrate with external systems, and execute reliable workflows at enterprise scale.
• Design systems for high throughput, availability, observability, security, and maintainability.
• Apply AI assistants like Codex and Claude Code across design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review.
• Improve frameworks, tooling, and engineering practices across teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
• Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, high-performing team.
