Job summary

your Jared is seeking a Senior Rust Developer to join the Qt Bridge for Rust project in Szczecin and remotely. You will design, implement, and harden the bridge, focusing on memory-safety, macro tooling, and a stable API across Linux, Windows, and macOS.

You will work with Rust FFI, cxx/CXX-Qt, perform security reviews, and contribute tests and documentation. The role is fully remote with a B2B arrangement for at least 6 months, with a possibility to extend.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Rust experience in production with ownership and lifetimes.
• C++ FFI experience, ideally with cxx for safe wrappers.
• Macro development (syn, quote, proc-macro2) and good diagnostics.
• Cross-platform Rust build engineering and testing practices.
• Ability to design and stabilize a public library API with semver.
• Willingness to perform security reviews of Rust/C++ FFI surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Contribute Rust (and some C++) code, tests, and docs.
• Work on object-model, memory-safety, and macro issues.
• Design and stabilize a public library API with deprecation policies.
• Perform security/threat analysis of the FFI surface.
• Collaborate via Gerrit and Jira; communicate daily with the team.
