Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a senior Rust engineer to design, implement and harden the Qt Bridge for Rust library, enabling pure-Rust backends for Qt Quick interfaces. You will work on object-model, memory-safety, and macro-related issues across platforms, reading and reasoning about the C++ layer as needed.

The role emphasizes Rust idiomatic API design, procedural macros, cross-platform build engineering, and a strong review culture (Gerrit).

Qualifications

• Senior-level Rust experience with ownership/borrowing, unsafe and lifetime APIs.
• Experience with Rust-C++ FFI bindings (cxx) and safe wrappers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute production-quality Rust (and some C++) code for QtBridge Rust.
• Design and stabilize a public library API with emphasis on safety and ergonomics.
• Collaborate on cross-platform build automation and secure FFI surfaces.
