Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a remote-ready team focused on memory-safety migrations. You will port legacy C/C++ libraries to memory-safe Rust, build C++ shims and Rust FFI wrappers, and drive multi-target refactoring across complex projects.

You will work across teams to evaluate performance and security trade-offs, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure seamless integration with existing consumers.

Qualifications

5+ years in software development with Rust and C++.
Deep expertise in unsafe code, FFI boundaries, memory-safe migrations.
Strong memory safety understanding and cross-language interoperability.
Experience with Bazel/Blaze and dependency management.
Strong debugging across memory, testing, and builds.
Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

Migrate legacy C/C++ libraries to memory-safe Rust alternatives.
Build and maintain secure C++ shims and Rust FFI wrappers.
Drive large-scale refactoring and dependency updates across targets.
Perform differential testing, validation, and large-scale integration testing.
Evaluate performance and security trade-offs and provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
Manage cross-team dependencies and review bottlenecks.
Structure migrations into small, reviewable stacks to streamline approvals and reduce failures.
