Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Rust Software Engineer to unify UL Link, T-Bricks, and CQG into a single platform, focusing on a distributed cache and memory model for ultra-low-latency market data distribution.

You will design a scalable caching layer, leverage QuestDB for fast access, and collaborate with leads on architecture while mentoring teammates in distributed systems best practices. The role offers hybrid work with Poland-based remote options and opportunities to work abroad briefly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Rust and distributed systems
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems
• Knowledge of time-series databases such as QuestDB, KDB, or InfluxDB
• Understanding of capital markets and market data including equities, derivatives, futures, and options
• Proficiency in system design for scalable, fault-tolerant architectures
• Familiarity with Linux performance tuning and profiling tools
• English proficiency at a B2+ level

Responsibilities

• Design and build a distributed caching layer for high-throughput, low-latency market data distribution
• Leverage QuestDB to support fast data access across the platform
• Collaborate with technical leads on architecture and integration decisions
• Support consolidation of feed handlers and connectivity layers across UL Link, T-Bricks, and CQG
• Define data models and schemas to support normalized market and reference data
• Optimize memory management and concurrency patterns for ultra-low latency workloads
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members on distributed systems best practices
