Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design activities for automotive lighting products, owning design decisions and coordinating with international engineering teams in Katowice/Chrzanów area.

You will drive development from design freeze through DV and industrialization, support validation activities, ensure compliance with design principles and quality standards, and help transition to production in a global context.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in mechanical product development in the automotive industry.
• Experience leading development from concept to industrialization, particularly in automotive lighting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials engineering and physics fundamentals.
• Hands-on DV and product testing experience with high-quality outcomes.
• Fluent English and ability to collaborate with international teams.
• Onsite work required in Chrzanów.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for automotive lighting projects.
• Own product development from design freeze through DV and industrialization phases.
• Support Design Validation activities, including design updates and investigations.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with PM, testing, manufacturing, tooling and other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with design principles, requirements and quality standards.
• Participate in reviews, risk assessments and design change management.
• Support product industrialization and readiness for production.
