Job summary

Valeo in Poland is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own the low-voltage platform architecture, bridging mechanical, hardware and software to deliver production-ready automotive solutions.

You will lead cross‑functional technical decisions, drive design to cost, manage risks with 8D and Ishikawa methods, and mentor junior engineers across domains.

English fluency is required; German or French is a strong asset, with opportunities to influence modern eMobility programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of automotive product development experience.
• Proven ability to work across mechanical, hardware, and software disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Define and own the product architecture and component structure across the modular platform.
• Technical Point of Contact: Interfaces for global customers and internal teams on architecture and requirements.
• System Integration: Translate system requirements into discipline-specific specs for Production release.
• Domain-Specific Leadership: Lead technical decisions and effort estimations within your core area.
• Design & Optimization: Drive a design-to-cost mindset, ensure robustness, and identify technical risks.
• Problem Solving & Risk Management: Apply 8D and Ishikawa methods; lead risk mitigation and root-cause analysis.
