Job summary

Sii Poland in Kraków is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design activities for automotive lighting products, owning decisions from concept through industrialization and coordinating with international teams.

You will drive DV activities, ensure design integrity, support industrialization and manufacturing readiness, and contribute to cross-functional reviews and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical product development in the automotive industry.
• Experience leading development from concept to industrialization in automotive lighting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials, and physics fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for automotive lighting products, aligning with project goals and timelines.
• Drive product development from design freeze through validation and industrialization, owning technical decisions.
• Support DV activities, including design updates, investigations, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with PM, testing, manufacturing, tooling and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with design principles, requirements and quality standards across development.
• Participate in reviews, risk assessments and design change management to mitigate issues.
• Support industrialization and manufacturing readiness for production transition.
