We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the development of automotive lighting products. In this role, you will take ownership of mechanical design activities, coordinate technical decisions, and drive product development from the Design Validation phase through to industrialization. You will work closely with international engineering teams to ensure successful project execution. Your tasks
- Leading mechanical design activities for automotive lighting products, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Driving product development from design freeze through validation and industrialization phases, taking ownership of technical decisions
- Supporting Design Validation (DV) activities, including design updates, technical investigations and issue resolution
- Coordinating cross-functional cooperation with project management, testing, manufacturing, tooling and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success
- Ensuring compliance with mechanical design principles, product requirements and quality standards throughout the development process
- Participating in technical reviews, risk assessments and design change management to mitigate potential issues
- Supporting product industrialization and manufacturing readiness activities, facilitating a smooth transition to production
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical product development within the automotive industry
- Proven experience leading development activities from concept through industrialization, particularly in automotive lighting products
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials engineering, and physics fundamentals relevant to product design
- Hands-on experience with design validation and product testing processes, ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and work independently, taking ownership of technical decisions
- Fluent English communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with international teams
- Required onsite work in Chrzanów
Nice to have
- Experience with automotive lighting products and knowledge of simulation-driven development
- Familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, design reviews, and automotive development processes
- Experience working in international R&D environments
