Job summary

Luxoft Poland seeks a backend engineer to design, develop and maintain Java 11+ microservices on Azure. You will build REST APIs, implement containerized services with Docker/Kubernetes (AKS) and drive IaC with Terraform.

The role involves implementing secure securitization workflows, integrating Kafka/IBM MQ/Tibco EMS, and contributing to CI/CD (GitLab/GitHub) pipelines while embracing AI-assisted tooling to raise coding standards.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented programming with Java 11+.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem.
• Hands‑on development of Web and/or REST APIs and message-driven services.
• Experience building and running containerized applications.
• Strong Azure cloud, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration.
• Compute and storage solutions within Azure environment.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools integrated into workflows.
• Experience with GitLab / GitHub, IntelliJ / VSCode.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and message-driven services for securitization workflows.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including AKS-based orchestration.
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code.
• Work with containerization technologies (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub).
• Implement integrations using messaging systems such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or Tibco EMS.
• Collaborate on system design for scalability, resilience, and distributed architecture alignment.
• Develop and optimize database interactions using Azure SQL, Oracle, or Sybase.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for production systems.
• Utilize Linux/Unix skills for troubleshooting and scripting.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency while maintaining code quality.
