Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced backend engineer in Kraków to design, develop, and operate microservices on Azure. You will build REST APIs, integrate with messaging systems, and drive cloud-native deployments using AKS and Terraform.

Strong Java 11+ and Python skills, plus Linux scripting, are essential for delivering scalable, resilient systems. You will collaborate across teams to ensure data integrity, observability, and robust CI/CD pipelines in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong OO programming with Java 11+.
• Proficient Python programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building Web/REST APIs and message-driven services.
• Containerized apps with Docker and cloud experience on Azure.
• IaC with Terraform; AKS orchestration.
• Linux/Unix scripting and shell proficiency.
• CI/CD familiarity (GitLab / GitHub).
• Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, or Tibco EMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Build RESTful APIs and message-driven services to support securitization workflows.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including AKS orchestration.
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code.
• Work with Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub).
• Implement integrations using messaging systems such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or Tibco EMS.
• Collaborate on system design for scalability, resilience and distributed architecture.
• Develop and optimize database interactions with Azure SQL, Oracle, or Sybase.
• Write unit, integration, and E2E tests to ensure code quality.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for production systems.
• Leverage Linux/Unix skills for troubleshooting and scripting.
