Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a senior Java backend developer to join the CASP-oriented cloud modernization project in Kraków. You will build and maintain cloud-native microservices in a Spring Boot/Java 11+ stack on Azure, with AKS orchestration and Terraform IaC.

Work involves designing REST APIs, data access, CI/CD, and observability, while ensuring security, resilience, and regulatory alignment in a complex financial ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented programming in Java 11+.
• Extensive Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem experience.
• Hands-on development of Web and REST APIs and message-driven services.
• Experience building and running containerized applications.
• Strong Azure cloud experience including AKS, compute and storage.
• Solid Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools integrated into workflows.
• Experience with GitLab / GitHub, IntelliJ / VSCode.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in a microservices architecture.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and message-driven services for securitization workflows.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native apps on Microsoft Azure with AKS orchestration.
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code.
• Work with Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.
• Implement integrations using Kafka, IBM MQ, or Tibco EMS.
• Collaborate on scalable, resilient system design aligned with distributed architecture.
• Develop and optimize database interactions on Azure SQL, Oracle, or Sybase.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure quality.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for production systems.
• Leverage Linux/Unix for troubleshooting and scripting.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency.
