Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices in Java 11+ with Spring Boot. You will build REST APIs and message-driven services, deploy on Azure AKS, and define infrastructure with Terraform.

Responsibilities include containerized apps, CI/CD with GitLab or GitHub, and AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity while ensuring reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented programming with Java 11+
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem
• Hands-on development of Web and REST APIs and message-driven services
• Experience building and running containerized applications
• Strong Azure cloud experience including IaC with Terraform
• Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration
• Compute and storage solutions in Azure
• Solid Linux/Unix skills and scripting
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools integrated into workflows
• Experience with GitLab/GitHub and IDEs (IntelliJ/VSCode)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in a microservices architecture using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and message-driven services for securitization workflows.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native apps on Microsoft Azure, including AKS orchestration.
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code.
• Work with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub).
• Implement integrations using Kafka, IBM MQ, or Tibco EMS.
• Collaborate on scalable, resilient system design.
• Develop and optimize database interactions (Azure SQL/Oracle/Sybase).
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; ensure observability and monitoring.
• Utilize Linux/Unix troubleshooting and scripting; leverage AI-assisted tools.
