Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Poland seeks a Deputy Contracts Manager to lead subcontract strategy and contract administration on the AP1000 project with Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe. This role partners with project teams to ensure compliance and value delivery.

You will drive governance, risk management and claims avoidance across Legal, Risk, Procurement and Project Controls, delivering safe, on-budget outcomes for the project.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) with 13–15 years of relevant experience or 17–19 years of experience.
• Experience managing technically complex subcontracts on large EPC or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, energy, major infrastructure) is preferred.
• Experience working with international contractors and multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Contracts Manager in developing and implementing the project subcontracting strategy and Contracts Execution Plan.
• Leads contract formation and administration activities across assigned project areas.
• Provides leadership to Contract Administrators and other contracts personnel.
• Oversees subcontract formation activities, including bidding, evaluations, negotiations and approvals.
• Ensures subcontract administration aligns with project procedures and contract requirements.
• Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates contractual and commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supports dispute resolution strategies and negotiations with subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Works with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategy with project execution.
• Monitors subcontract cost, schedule, changes, claims, and performance metrics.
