Job summary

Sii is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to shape our cloud data ecosystem across AWS and GCP. You will build, maintain, and enhance data lakes, warehouses, and orchestration layers, ensuring secure, scalable, cost-efficient data solutions for the business.

You will collaborate across Data Engineers, Scientists, and Analysts to deliver an enterprise-grade MLOps platform, focusing on observability, IaC, and best practices in governance.

Qualifications

• <0>5+ years in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• <1>Strong cloud infra & platform engineering experience.
• <2>Expertise with BigQuery, security and cost management.
• <3>Experience with AWS data lake architectures (Athena, S3, Glue).
• <4>Proficiency in Python and modern data tools (Airflow, dbt).
• <5>Solid data security and access management understanding.
• <6>Observability/monitoring know-how (Grafana, CloudWatch).
• <7>Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• <8>Comfort with CI/CD, code reviews, governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Data Platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Enhance platform features, monitoring, and automation.
• Develop CI/CD driven deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts.
• Manage data estate, IAM, storage, monitoring, and cost control.
• Design secure, compliant, user-friendly data infra.
• Improve performance, security, and operational efficiency across cloud environments.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities meeting needs.
• Uphold engineering practices: code reviews, CI/CD, IaC, governance.
