Job summary

State Street is seeking an experienced Alpha Data Operations Senior Specialist to ensure timely, accurate data delivery to clients. The role emphasizes process ownership, issue diagnosis, and collaboration with global IT, implementation, and service teams.

You will work on data quality, platform SME responsibilities, and contribute to product enhancements while engaging with multiple divisions and clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• University degree in Data Management, Finance, or equivalent.
• Typically 3–5 years of industry experience in Financial Services or Data fields.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg and/or other market data vendors.
• Knowledge of financial instruments from static data perspective.
• Strong technical skills, e.g. SQL, knowledge of database design, multiple systems flow.
• Leading meetings gathering multiple divisions (IT, Middle Office, Data Operations, Implementation).
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and related tools (JIRA, Rally, RTC) is a plus.
• Strong team ethics and team player.
• Good communication and English language skills (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Support data operations; ensure data is delivered to clients on time, accurate and within scope.
• Become process/platform SME; conduct root cause analysis of data issues and address questions/requests
• Independently perform work within guidelines and according to procedures
• Support internal and client testing prior to go live and post-production transition; oversee and improve live processes
• As part of the wider team, contribute input on Alpha Data product enhancements and requirements
• Collaborate with Alpha Data Implementation, Service Management and IT teams to share best practices and develop global processes
