Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage procurement for the AP1000 nuclear power project, partnering with Westinghouse Electric Company and PEJ. You will develop bid lists, solicit quotes, analyze bids and negotiate purchase orders as part of the EPC scope.

Initially on-site full-time with potential telework as the project progresses. A bachelor's degree and several years of purchasing experience are required to support project estimates and commitments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in all phases of purchase order formation including bidder prequalification, bidders lists, bid requests and terms.
• Excellent negotiation and contract administration skills with suppliers and teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Construction, Project Management and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop project master purchase proforma forms with legal and commercial terms.
• Maintain project bidder lists and input from procurement and operations.
• Issue, administer and track purchase orders.
• Coordinate with Engineering for material requisitions and specifications.
• Negotiate commitments and monitor supplier performance and changes.
• Provide guidance on purchasing forms, procedures, and buying of goods.
