Job summary

Motorola Solutions Systems Polska Sp.z.o.o seeks an experienced Staff/Principal AI Data Lead to modernize our enterprise data ecosystem for AI/ML readiness. You will define standards, governance, and observability for trusted data across batch and near-real-time contexts, with Airflow-centric tooling decisions.

You will lead enterprise-wide reviews, establish data contracts, catalogs, and semantic conventions while mentoring engineers on best practices and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering/architecture roles, staff/principal experience preferred.
• Expert SQL and Python; proven data governance, contracts and quality frameworks.
• Experience operating production data platforms with strong lineage and access control.
• Hands-on with catalogs/lineage as systems of record for definitions and ownership.
• Familiarity with vector/RAG readiness concepts and embeddings considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise AI data architecture vision, principles, and reference architectures.
• Lead cross-functional reviews to align on data readiness roadmaps with stakeholders.
• Establish data contracts and govern schema evolution for compatibility.
• Create a data catalog as the system of record for lineage and policy labels.
• Implement data quality framework with automated scorecards and anomaly monitoring.
• Standardize ingestion, processing, storage, and orchestration patterns using Airflow.
• Provide guidance on secure access patterns and CI/CD for data workflows.
• Drive RAG readiness, chunking policies, deduplication, and vector store guidelines.
