Job summary

Nordea is seeking an Expert AI Specialist/SRE to own reliable, secure cloud and AI-enabled services. You will shape solution choices, build production-grade AI infrastructure and guide teams in responsible AI adoption.

The role sits in the SRE Operations team, modernizing platforms toward container-based architectures (Mirantis Kubernetes, Docker) and implementing scalable, observable systems. Hybrid work up to 40%. Location options include Gdańsk/Gdynia or Warsaw, plus Nordic cities.

Qualifications

• 7 years of relevant experience in IT operations, site reliability engineering, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong DevOps and operations expertise across support, maintenance, deployment, automation and platform administration.
• Deep experience with cloud operations in Google Cloud; knowledge of AWS or Azure is an advantage.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with logs, metrics and traces.
• Strong practical knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible and Git-based repository management.
• Experience designing, operating or integrating AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of reliable, secure and scalable cloud and AI-enabled services, including on-call rotation.
• Define and improve observability and operational practices across logging, monitoring, alerting, SLOs and incident response, focusing on Google Cloud.
• Design and implement AI-enabled environments, including agentic AI, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation and end-to-end workflows.
• Translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide expert guidance to users and engineering teams, resolve complex platform issues and support adoption of environments and tools.
• Own the implementation and lifecycle of development, test and production platforms, ensuring stability and performance.
• Drive technical decisions based on evidence, architecture and governance requirements.
• Share knowledge and raise engineering quality across the team.
