Job summary

Gcore, a global provider of infrastructure and software for AI, cloud, network and security, is looking for a Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. You’ll operate security tooling, monitor incidents, and help harden our defenses across endpoints, networks, and services.

You will work with Defender XDR, Entra ID, Intune, and a SIEM, contribute to audits (ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS), and drive security awareness through training and phishing simulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft security stack (Defender XDR, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online) and a SIEM.
• Solid understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux administration.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, and other security compliance frameworks.
• Scripting skills for automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Ability to explain security topics to non-technical audiences; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and automate security tooling to protect the company's networks, systems, and applications.
• Monitor and triage security events, investigate incidents, and propose preventive measures.
• Handle user-reported phishing and maintain email protection controls.
• Plan and implement security requirements for operating systems, networks, and services.
• Manage device security and perform periodic access reviews; control group/permission cleanup.
• Run the company-wide security awareness program with training materials and phishing simulations.
• Support audits (ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS) including evidence collection and remediation.
• Review security for third-party software, SaaS, and AI tools with Legal.
