Job summary

Universal Investment is seeking a detail-oriented Valuation Analyst to validate securities valuations and manage pricing feeds. You will ensure accuracy, plausibility, and compliance, and maintain thorough documentation of price validations and adjustments.

Office-based with strong collaboration across teams. You will oversee FX rates and market indices valuation, liaise with counterparties for documentation, and process hedge fund transactions with proper audit trails.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Initial professional experience in the fund industry and/or securities domain is a plus.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments and market mechanisms.
• Fluency in English; additional languages helpful (French or German).
• Familiarity with financial data providers such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Validate securities valuations for accuracy, plausibility, and compliance.
• Maintain pricing feeds and resolve pricing gaps with stakeholders.
• Document price validations and ensure daily archiving of materials.
• Oversee valuation of FX rates and market indices.
• Collect documentation from counterparties for hedge funds and liquid alternatives.
• Process and record hedge fund transactions with proper audit trails.
• Respond to internal and external queries with timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Client Service Delivery Management on client requests and issues.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform validation of securities valuations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established plausibility checks (e.g., representativeness, timeliness, price movements, and proper authorization)
• Select appropriate market data sources and maintain automated pricing feeds; elevate and resolve cases where reliable pricing is unavailable by liaising with relevant governing bodies and updating valuation guidelines accordingly
• Maintain thorough documentation of price validations and adjustments, ensuring daily record‑keeping and proper archiving of supporting materials
• Oversee the accurate valuation of foreign exchange rates and market indices
• Liaise with counterparties to obtain required documentation for alternative investment funds
• Process and record hedge fund transactions, ensuring proper documentation and audit trail of related activities
• Review and respond to internal and external stakeholder queries, providing clear and timely resolutions
• Collaborate closely with Client Service Delivery Management on client‑specific requests, complaints, and operational issues

Your skills and experience:

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
• Initial professional experience in the fund industry and/or securities domain will be considered an advantage
• Solid understanding of financial instruments and financial market mechanisms
• Fluency in English is required; additional language skills (French or German) are advantageous
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Team‑oriented mindset, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach to work
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, take ownership, and work with a strong sense of responsibility
• Familiarity with financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) is a plus
• Availability to work primarily from the office (80–100% onsite presence)
