Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to manage schematic and apparatus work packages for train projects. You will own electrical baselines, deliver detailed cabling schemes, harness data, and 3D models, coordinating with TCE, TSE, and verification teams on schedule and quality.

Requires 2+ years in activity management, strong Electrical CAD skills, and a solid understanding of train systems. On-site role with collaboration across engineering teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Electrical and electro technique engineering knowledge.
• Experience in activity management (at least 2 years).
• Team management (at least 2 years).
• Electrical CAD experience (at least 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Delivery of the right product at the right moment to the project electrical Lead Engineer, the product consisting into the complete electrical case or a set of electrical deliverables for each baseline made of: cabling principle scheme / SPS, wiring/device list, harness case, electrical architecture at train level.
• S&A workload on his project/tender.
• Applying of the Metier rules and processes.
• Delivery of harness 3D models from mechanical integration.
• Managing the S&A QCD of his/her project.
• Managing the S&A workload of his/her project.
• Sub-contracting management (definition, monitoring, acceptance).

Purpose of the Job

• He/she manages Schematic & Apparatus resources and activities on the project he is affected.
• He/she is responsible of the electrical deliveries for each electrical baseline of the project he’s contributing to.

Organisation Reporting

• Hierarchical : Schematic & Apparatus Domain Leader (S&ADL)
• Functional : Train Control Engineer (TCE)

Network & Links

• He/she is in permanent link with the TCE, the TSE, Subsystem Engineer and the TDE of the project.
• He is also in direct link with Verification & Test Engineer.He/she is in contact with Industrial team in order to align his delivery planning.

Performance Measurement/KPI’s

• Quality of his delivery (included sub-contractor delivery):
  • 1st time quality rate > 90% (quality rate = modification validated OK / number of modification applied)
• Respect of the delivery planning (included sub-contractor delivery):
  • 100% on time delivery
• Level of application of standard PPL:
  • 100% of PPLConfiguration management of his deliverables:100% of deliverables properly managed into configuration database
• Continuous improvement or Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous projects:
  • zero missing RoE

Accountable for

Knowledge & Experience

• Industrial and manufacturing view in order to better understand his “internal clients”,
• Electrical CAD experience (at least 3 years),

Team size

• Functional reports: he/she manages about 3 persons
• Depending on project number, his/her team can evolve to about 8 persons
• Force of proposal for PPL and Processes evolution/improvement.
• Force of proposal to TCE for functional evolution/correction
