Job summary

SD Worx is seeking a SAP Process Owner responsible for full country delivery of German payroll. You will ensure compliance, quality, and stability while coordinating with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.

You will lead end-to-end payroll processes, drive improvements, and support payroll teams across projects. Fluency in English and German is required, with strong ownership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and German for client and regulatory communication.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors payroll modules (EC, ECP, PCC).
• Experience with German payroll, tax, and labour regulations.
• Proven ability to lead payroll projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

About the role:

As a SAP Process Owner, you hold full country responsibility for payroll delivery and act as the key subject matter expert. You ensure compliance, quality, and stability while serving as the primary interface for clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Which tasks can you expect?

• End‑to‑end ownership of German payroll delivery

• Ensure full compliance with the German payroll, tax, and labour regulations

• Functionally steer and support operational payroll teams

• Act as the main contact for clients, authorities, and external partners

• Safeguard payroll quality, accuracy, stability, and timeliness Lead payroll implementations, transitions, and client onboardings

• Manage and execute SIT, UAT, and parallel payroll runs

• Own and evolve payroll templates and local solutions

• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and quality initiatives

• Contribute business cases and expertise to product and template development

• Deliver training and functional enablement for internal teams

What do you have to offer?

• Expert knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (EC, ECP, PCC)

• Good understanding of German payroll, tax, and labour legislation

• Fluent English and German skills

• Strong ownership mindset with a high sense of accountability for outcomes

• Ability to explain complex payroll topics clearly and convincingly

• High level of trustworthiness and discretion when handling sensitive data

• Experience with expat/impat payroll, split payroll, and shadow payroll is a plus
